Landini and Kohler: The KDI2504TCR

Landini unveiled the new Stage V generation of specialized Rex3 F Series tractors designed for vineyard and orchard work. In addition to the leap in emission levels, the new Landini range is characterised by innovative technological solutions, a revamped bonnet look and the possibility of installing a Low Profile cab. The line up of the Rex3 F features three Kohler 4-cylinder, 2.5-litre Kohler engines with 55, 68 and 75 horsepower, which express torque reserves of 50, 45 and 32 per cent respectively. Engine RPM management is provided by the Engine Memo Switch, which allows you to quickly record and recall settings when switching between different activities. The 50-litre diesel tank provides full working day operation. The winning features of the new Rex3 F series are undoubtedly its compact dimensions: wheelbase 1,950 millimetres, minimum ground clearance 213 millimetres, external width from 1,350 to 1,617 millimetres, minimum height of the steering wheel from the ground on the platform version 1,256 millimetres, weight without ballast 2,200 kilograms. The new Rex3 F Series also leverages the versatility of configuration and equipment. Starting with the Low Profile cabin option, which features a 1.16-metre-wide monocoque structure at the base that is reduced to 0.86 metres at roof level, for a minimum overall height from the ground of 1.87 metres, while ensuring respect for the foliage and operator comfort. The latter is optimised by the large door opening for easy access, the tilting steering wheel, the multi-function dashboard, the absence of levers on the central tunnel, the air conditioning circuit and the optional rear camera. The cabin offers maximum visibility in side operations, on sloping ground and in greenhouses.

16 forward and 16 reverse gears

The transmission with gearbox and mechanical shuttle offers, with creeper, a total of 16 forward and 16 reverse gears in a speed range from 0.4 to 40 km/h. The front axle (electro-hydraulically engaged dual drive) is produced in Argo Tractors plants and offers a steering angle of 55 degrees. The 20-inch rear wheels (for the GE version) and 24-inch rear wheels (for the F versions) are also fitted with Waffle-type rims, designed to withstand high loads, always guaranteeing the best possible concentricity between rim and tyre to minimise vibrations, maximising comfort in road transfers with mounted equipment, also thanks to the maximum permissible mass of 4,000 kilos. To complete a picture already rich in specifications, perfect compatibility with Landini’s fleet management protocol contributes. The new Rex3 F can in fact be fitted with the Landini Fleet Management system which guarantees telemetry data, remote diagnostics, efficient integration with the after-sales system, a direct connection with the service department and a reduction in downtime for the following reasons.

The XC13 surely sounds agnostic in FPT Industrial’s unofficial nomenclature; it comes, indeed, with a tripartite certification: Euro 6E (winking an eye at the upcoming Euro 7), methane gas and also biofuel, with a link to hydrogen.
