The inaugural edition of the Hydrogen Expo, the first Italian trade fair dedicated to the technological supply chain for the development of hydrogen, closed its doors on 10 June with a total of just over 5,000 admissions, which was held at Piacenza Expo simultaneously with the 2nd edition of the Pipeline & Gas Expo, also a highly specialized event dedicated to companies that design, build and deal with the management and maintenance of “Gas, Oil & Water” distribution networks. Piacenza is also the seat of important fairs such as GIS (Italian Lifting Show) and GIC (Italian Concrete Days).

Even if the exact number of visitors to the two fairs is not yet available, the satisfaction of both exhibitors and visitors to the Piacenza exhibition who were also able to participate free of charge in the numerous conferences that were held alongside the exhibition, conferences to which the main Italian trade associations including ANIMA, ANIMP, ANIE ENERGIA, H2IT and OICE also contributed.

In light of the success of the event, the dates of the second edition have been announced, which will be held in Piacenza from 17 to 19 May 2023.

Alongside the new edition of the Hydrogen Expo, a gala evening will be organized in one of the beautiful locations in Piacenza, during which the delivery ceremony of the IHTA-Italian Hydrogen Technology Awards 2023 will be held, which will be assigned to those companies and entrepreneurs who they are particularly highlighted for their activities over the past 18 months.
