The conference on infrastructure and policies

Anna (the national association of mobile crane rental companies) promoted one of the most interesting events, the one on infrastructures on a national and European scale, which aimed to take a picture of Italy, highlighting both the positive and the negative issues. A conference, explained Daniela Dal Col, President of Anna, born not with the aim of «pointing the finger at what is wrong in Italy. The aim is to take stock of the situation and look at the prospects. Even the collapse of the Genoa bridge (the one that collapsed in August 2018, ed) is not treated in the light of the announced disaster, but by the positive vision that even in the worst situations Italian companies, and our sector in particular, are able to express the highest technological level in the world».

Carlo Costa, technical director of Autobrennero, aims in the near future to address the still open issues on the subject with digitization, smart road and autonomous driving. In short, with the ‘highway 4.0’ that is supposed to increase environmental sustainability and aim for zero deaths.

GENOA IS ALSO THE CITY OF THE BOAT SHOW

Long-term projects, therefore, while Roberto Mastrangelo of Anas intends to digitize immediately the monitoring of the motorway network. «In 2018, more than 51,000 inspections were carried out and there are innovative projects such as the one named Sentinel, promoted in collaboration with the University of Salerno, for a weighing system of loads in transit».
