BorgWarner’s local production serves both major automakers and the aftermarket, domestic and export markets. The 5 million turbochargers produced by the plant are at the service of all markets served by BorgWarner in Brazil as well as those in South America.

This achievement was possible with the production of BorgWarner’s B01 turbocharger, the first flex turbocharger for 3-cylinder engines manufactured in Brazil. The product’s compact design features a compressor wheel made entirely of aluminum, optimized bearing system and a wastegate controlled by an electric actuator improving the reduction of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). BorgWarner’s B01 turbocharger employs advanced materials to withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1,050 degrees Celsius.
