Hatz H-Series. The applicationizer

Hatz H-Series the Applicationizer. In Ruhstorf they renamed it that way. Hatz called in the technical press in front of an audience of offroad and stationary applications of the H series. The mission? Prove that the half-liter cylinder displacement can fit under a variety of hoods. The coordinates to cross are the flexibility in the management of loads and work peaks, the suitability to the variegated map of emissions, which develops like a leopard, and the consequent possibility to dilute the delta price of the technologies with simplified architectures for the markets with low exhaust emissions content.
After unveiling the 4-cylinder engine, the H series is enriched with a modular three-cylinder configuration  that expands its application horizon and allows Hatz to reel off a proposal that starts at 18.4 kilowatts and stops at 62 kW. Obviously, the intention is to approach machinery with more generous volumes than those of road construction, which are typically powered by the engine maker from Lower Bavaria.

Four for all

Hatz H-Series the Applicationizer. T and TI are the trump cards for overcoming the critical points of the so-called emerging countries, whatever they may be: Egr and Doc are sensitive to sulphur quality, their absence from the T version and the TI version makes them compatible with fuels containing up to 5,000 ppm of sulphur.
The abbreviation TIC indicates the presence of gas recirculation and oxidation catalyst, while the final letter D (TICD) indicates the particulate filter, optimized for long periods of pause between one regeneration and another and separable from the catalyst.

Bernd Krüper says

We have spoken with Bernd Krüper, Hatz Ceo. The following are some of the statements. You will find the complete interview on the next issue of DIESEL International.

What is the meaning of this event? What message does Hatz want to convey?

First, we want to show the media and readers that Hatz is a manufacturer of super-compact engines for an extensive range of applications and show where you can find Hatz in the present and in the future.
As you can see here, these are wheel loaders,
power generators, pile drivers, multitypurpose vehicles for municipal utilities.
What emerges from this meeting is that the Hatz H-Series paradigm is not limited to some uses in the usual applications of the construction industry.

What will be the next applications for Hatz?

Hatz is a well known and appreciated brand in the compact segment with mechanical motors and, we are sure, increasingly with electronically controlled ones. With the H-Series and water-cooled engines, we are targeting applications such as small excavators, as you have seen today, wheel loaders and front loaders. Another area in the focus is power generation and motor pumps.
We also have some specific applications such as supplying power to batteries and other devices for onroad vehicles.

Can we expect structural sump for specialized tractors?

We are discussing with some OEMs a version with a structural oil sump. For the time being, I cannot tell you more.

Eight applications for the Applicationizer

Hatz H-Series the Applicationizer. Would you like to know what applications we’ve seen at work? A wheel loader test vehicle; Ladog T1250, a municipal vehicle; Berky 6450 Amphi-King, an amphibious machine able to work in the water, in wetlands and on dry land; Goodsense Fd30Rt4, all-terrasion forklift; Krinner Krd60 Pv, ground screw driver; Jensen A328 wood chipper; Bba Bv150 motor pump; Hatz Tea-27 Tdcw5.
