DEUTZ will supply EU Stage V engines to the four major brands of ASKO Group, a primary Turkish construction and agricultural machinery manufacturer. The two companies have signed a long-term strategic partnership. A few days ago, DEUTZ announced another important agreement with agricultural machine manufacturer AGCO for ICE supply in the range of 6.1 and 4.1 liters displacement. In that particular case, the engines will be addressed to some selected Fendt-branded tractors.

DEUTZ and ASKO: the stages of a collaboration

Back to the partnership with ASKO, apparently DEUTZ will use the local presence of ASKO to strengthen its service business in Turkey and throughout Europe.

In a second phase, both parties intend to meet local content regulations by founding a joint venture company in Sakarya, that shall assemble and produce engines by utilizing already available facilities of ASKO Group companies. DEUTZ shall contribute additional investment as well as technology and production know-how.
