Texaco Delo 600 ADF 15W-40 ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricant with OMNIMAX is an API CK-4 performance heavy-duty engine oil. Just to clarify, OMNI in latin means ‘for all’ and MAX is the short name of Maximum. Now you can understand what Texaco thinks about its latest release, specifically formulated for off- and on-highway applications, including Tier IV Final and 2017 greenhouse gas-compliant (GHG 2017) engines with lower CO2 emissions, as well as EPA 2010 compliant low emission diesel engines with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems, calling for API CK-4.
Texaco Delo 600 ADF cares about ATS
If you care the engine reliability, you have to look after the ATS as well, DPF for first. If the accumulation of soot and ash is excessive, the large amount of heat produced during regeneration can damage the DPF, resulting in replacement costs of several thousand Euros. Clogging the DPF increases back pressure on the engine and regeneration cycles, and consequently fuel consumption. The official says: OMNIMAX delivers maximum system protection to both the engine and the emissions system. This all encompassing protection helps drastically reduce the rate of DPF clogging to deliver extended DPF service life and industry-redefining fuel economy retention. Suitable for on and off-highway applications, Texaco Delo 600 ADF with Chevron’s patented OMNIMAX technology contains only 0.4% sulphated ash, which is well below the 1% limit set by API and ACEA and adopted by many of the heavy-duty engine oils currently in use. This new product line, based on innovative additive technology, helps to drastically reduce the DPF clogging rate and extend its useful life thanks to the reduced number of regeneration cycles required, resulting in fuel savings of 3% over the life cycle of the equipment.
Rommel Atienza, Global Commercial Brand Manager at Chevron, said: «The downside of DPFs is that, to be effective, they need enough heat to burn off accumulated soot, which inevitably leads to higher fuel consumption. All this comes at a high price, because in addition to the initial cost of the devices and the many sensors and dosing units needed to operate the DPF, there are also the operating and maintenance costs». And, again, he points pout: «Texaco Delo 600 ADF significantly reduces the DPF clogging rate by extending its service life by up to two and a half times, and offers the possibility to save up to 3% fuel over the life cycle of the equipment, which translates into considerable savings for customers».
